What data is collected
- Contact data you choose to send: name, email address, company (optional), subject, and message content, when you use the contact form or write directly by email.
- Technical data processed by the hosting provider to serve the site securely, such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages, recorded in server logs.
- Local preferences stored in your own browser (for example your light/dark theme choice). This information stays on your device and is not sent to the owner.
No special-category data is requested, and the site is not directed at children under 14.
Purpose and legal basis
- Answering your enquiry and any follow-up professional conversation — legal basis: your consent when contacting, and the controller's legitimate interest in responding (art. 6.1.a and 6.1.f GDPR).
- Keeping the site available, secure, and free from abuse — legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Complying with legal obligations where applicable — legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
Your data is never sold, and it is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.
Recipients and international transfers
Data may be processed by service providers acting as processors on the controller's instructions: the website hosting and content delivery provider, and the email provider used to receive and answer messages. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and, afterwards, for up to one year in case of follow-up, unless you ask for earlier deletion. Server logs are kept for short technical periods defined by the hosting provider. Data required by law is kept for the legally mandated period.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, as well as withdraw consent at any time, by writing to jesus@jesusibanez.net. Requests are answered within one month.
If you believe your data has not been handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied to protect the limited personal data processed. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
